ABOUT:

Bonnie Kane is a Philadelphia-born, NYC / New England-based electro-acoustic pioneer and dedicated improvisor whose performances transform sound into dynamic, unpredictable experiences. Integrating saxophone, flute, feedback, and electronics, Kane creates immersive works that move between melody, noise, texture, and pure sonic energy.

With decades of activity in experimental music, Kane has built an internationally recognized practice spanning solo performance, ensemble work, recording, touring, and curatorial leadership.

Expanding the possibilities of electro-acoustic improvisation, Kane performs as a solo artist through projects, Bonnie Kane Solo Noise and Transcendent Winds, as part of KaneLoggiaHYPOTHESIS, and in larger ensemble configurations.  Now in its’ 3rd year, Kane curates / performs in the monthly improvisors’ series, Masters of Sonic Liberation.

Kane is a guest artist on John Spencer Blues Explosion’s LP, “Orange”, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor’s, “Luciferian Towers”, performing with GY!BE on the New England part of their tour.  Her early work is documented in the book, “The Williamsburg Avant-Garde…” (Cisco Bradley, pub. 2023).
